All Praise is due to Allaah, Salutations and Peace upon the Messenger of Allaah, and upon his family, companions and those that follow him.
As for what follows:
It should be quite obvious today – O intelligent Muslim – how the nations of disbelief, apostasy and hypocrisy from the Arabs and non-Arabs have united against the Islaamic State, so you will see them assembling together in their numbers, plotting and planning, creating armies and making threats, and the one leading them in that is the cross bearing America, until the deciding battle between the friends of Allaah and the friends of Shaytaan drew as close as a bow’s length or closer.
But despite how clear it is to see, and how the realities have been exposed, you still find some people asking: “Who should I support?” and “What should my standpoint be?”
So listen to these words then O poor fellow, because the matter is important and weighty, I take an oath by Allaah that it is the two camps that As-Saadiq Al-Masdooq (Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam) informed us about: “A camp of Eemaan wherein there is no Kufr, and a camp of Kufr wherein there is no Eemaan.”
AllaahTa`aalaa says: “Let not the believers take the disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever (of you) does that then he has nothing to do with Allaah, except when taking precaution against them in prudence. And Allaah warns you of Himself, and to Allaah is the (final) destination.” – Surah Aal-`Imraan: Verse 28.
Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “The most important principle of Eemaan is allying for the sake of Allaah, being enemies for the sake of Allaah, loving for the sake of Allaah and hating for the sake of Allaah.” – The Hadeeth is graded Hasan (good) and it is reported by Imaam At-Tabaraani Rahimahullaah.
(Hadhrat `Abdullaah) Ibn `Abbaas Radhiallaahu `Anhumaa said: “Whoever loves for Allaah’s sake, hates for Allaah’s sake, becomes friends for Allaah’s sake and becomes enemies for Allaah’s sake, then by doing that he will attain the friendship of Allaah, and a slave of Allaah will never get the taste of Eemaan until he becomes like that, no matter how much Salaah he performs and fasts.” – Reported in Jaami`ul `Uloom Wal Hikam of Imaam Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali Rahimahullaah.
Shaykh Sulaymaan Ibn `Abdillaah Ibn Muhammad Ibn `Abdil Wahhaab says in explaining the statement of (Hadhrat `Abdullaah) Ibn `Abbaas Radhiallaahu `Anhu which has just passed: “His statement “becomes friends for the sake of Allaah” this is a declaration of the obligation of loving for the sake of Allaah, and that is by allying for His sake, pointing out that it’s not enough to just love, but rather beyond that a person is required to ally as well which is a requirement of that love, which is to assist, being kind and respectful, and to be inwardly and outwardly with the beloved ones.
And his statement “and becomes enemies for the sake of Allaah”, this is a declaration of the obligation of hating for the sake of Allaah, which is to become enemies for His sake. Meaning that you show your enmity through your actions like waging Jihaad against the enemies of Allaah, disavowing oneself from them, and being far removed from them inwardly and outwardly, pointing out that it’s not enough to just hate them by heart, but rather beyond that a person is required to come with all its requisites as well, like how Allaah Ta`aalaa says: “There has already been for you an excellent example in Ibraaheem (`Alayhis Salaam) and those with him, when they said to their people, “Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allaah . We have rejected you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allaah alone” – Tayseerul `Azeezil Hameed, Sharh Kitaabut Tawheed.
For this reason it has been established in the pure Sharee`ah and it is something that is known by necessity of the Deen that Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa is a principle from the principles of the Deen, and there can be no Islaam nor Eemaan without it.
So what does Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa mean? What is its place in the Deen? And what is required from a Muslim in order to achieve Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa?
Shaykh Hamood Ibn `Uqlaa Ash-Shu`aybee Rahimahullaah said when he was asked about the standpoint regarding the crusader onslaught against Afghanistan, in brief what he said was: “Linguistically the word Al-Walaa is an Ism Masdar from Waalaa Yuwalee Muwaalatun n Walaa’u, and Waalaa Fulaanun Fulaanan when he loves and follows him, while Al-Wilaayah means to aid, protect and follow, and Waliya Fulaanun Fulaanan means he came closer to him.
As for the meaning of Al-Walaa in the Sharee`ah, it is when a slave of Allaah takes care to follow all the commands and abstain from all of the prohibitions of Allaah and Nabi Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam, and also to love and assist the friends of Allaah from the Mu’mineen.
As for Al-Baraa, linguistically it is from the root word Baraa which means to cut, so you get the sentence Baraa Al-Qalam which means he cut it (i.e. he cut the calligraphy pen’s nib). But the meaning here is to cut off ties with the Kuffar, so he does not love them, assist them or stay in their lands.
In the Sharee`ah Al-Baraa means to stay far away, to be free of and to have enmity. Like how it is said Baraa Wa Tabarra’a Minal Kuffaar when he cuts of ties between him and them, so he does not befriend them, love them, rely on them or seek aid from them.
The position of Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa in Islaam is great, because Al-Walaa Wal-Baraa is a principle from the principles of the Deen and a fundamental from the fundamentals of Eeman and `Aqeedah, thus person’s Eeman will not be correct without it. Therefore it is obligatory upon a Muslim man that he befriends and loves for the sake of Allaah, and he becomes enemies for the sake of Allaah, so he befriends the friends of Allaah and loves them, and he becomes an enemy to the enemies of Allaah, declares his disavowal from them and hates them.
Because the person who loves for the sake of Allaah, hates for the sake of Allaah, becomes friends for the sake of Allaah and becomes enemies for the sake of Allaah, then he is a friend of Allaah. While the person who allies with the Kuffaar and takes them as friends and brothers, then he is like them.
Allaah Ta`aalaa says: “O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are (in fact) allies of one another. And whoever among you is an ally to them – then indeed, he is (one) of them. Indeed, Allaah guides not the wrongdoing people.” – Surah Al-M’idah: Verse 51.
The Noble Qur’an contains many verses which warn against taking the Kuffars friends, like the statement of Allaah Ta`aalaa: “O you who have believed, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies, extending to them affection…” – Surah AlMumtahinah: Verse 1.
Therefore Al-Baraa is part of the foundations upon which the Islaamic creed is built, which is to be distanced from the Kuffaar and to be their enemy and cut off ties with them, so the Eemaan of a person will not be correct until he takes the Kuffaar, Munaafiqeen and Murtaddeen to be his enemies and he declares his disavowal from them even if they are close relatives, Allaah Subhaanahu Wa Ta`aalaa says: “You will not find a people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam), even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those are the ones in whose hearts He has placed faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And He shall admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allaah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him, those are the party of Allaah. Let it be known that definitely the party of Allaah they are the successful ones.” – Surah Al-Mujaadalah: Verse 22.
This noble verse points out that a person cannot attain true Eemaan until he distances himself from the Kuffaar who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam) and declares his disavowal from them and becomes their enemy no matter even if they are close relatives, and Allaah Subhaanahu Wa Ta`aalaa had praised His Friend Ibraaheem `Alayhis Salaam when he had disavowed himself from his father, his people and what they were worshipping, the verse wherein Allaah said: “And when Ibraaheem(`alayhisSalaam) told his father and his people indeed I disavow myself from what you are worshipping.” Surah Az-Zukhruf: Verse 26.
And Allaah Subhaanahu Wa Ta`aalaa has commanded us to follow the example of AlKhaleel Ibraaheem `Alayhis Salaam in his pure Tawheed and disavowal from the Mushrikeen, in the verse wherein Allaah says: “There has been for you an excellent example in Ibraaheem (`Alayhis Salaam) and those with him, when they said to their people, “Indeed, we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allaah. We have rejected you, and there has appeared between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allaah alone” except for the saying of Ibraaheem (`Alayhis Salaam) to his father, “I will definitely ask forgiveness for you, but I have not (power to do) for you anything against Allaah. Our Lord, upon You we have relied and to You we have returned and to You is the destination.” – Surah AlMumtahinah: Verse 4.
As for supporting the Kuffaar and assisting them against the Muslims, then that is Kufr which expels a person from the fold of Islaam according to the view of all the `Ulamaa of the Ummah whose opinions are relied upon from the past and present.
The Mujaddid Imaam Muhammad Ibn `Abdil Wahhaab Rahimahullaah said: “The eighth nullifier from the nullifiers of Islaam is to support the Kuffaar and assist them against the Muslims.”
The Muhaddith Al-`Allaamah Ahmad Shaakir Rahimahullaah said in explaining the ruling of fighting and killing the Kuffaar in relation to the British war on Egypt: “It is obligatory upon every Muslim in every place on earth to fight and kill them wherever they are found, whether they are civilians or soldiers… and as for aiding the English in whatever form of assistance it may be, whether it’s a little or a lot, it is clear apostasy and explicit Kufr for which no excuse will be accepted nor will any interpretation be of benefit, and stupid nationalism, foolish politics and hypocritical courtesy will not save a person from having the ruling (of Kufr) passed on him, regardless of whether it’s on an individual basis, or from the government and leaders, all of them are equal in apostasy, except for the one who is ignorant.”
Therefore based on this whoever supports the Kufr nations against the Muslims and assists them against the Muslims like America and its allies in Kufr, he becomes a Kaafir that has apostatized from Islaam, in whatever way he supports and assists them. Because this mad war that the criminal Bush and his partner in Kufr and crime the prime minister of Britain Blair did not stop calling towards under the claim they made that they are fighting terrorism, it is a crusade like the previous crusades against Islaam and the Muslims that took place in history, and the criminal Bush explicitly stated it with his own mouth when he said: “We will wage a crusade”, now regardless of whether he was drunk at the time of saying it or sober, the fact remains that this is what he and his ilk from the influential Kuffaar believe.
This enemity and jealousy against Islaam and the Muslims from these crossworshippers and Jews is not something strange, because Kufr even though it may be from different nations, but they are one in relation to their enemity and jealousy to the Muslims, but the thing that’s really strange is that some of the rulers and Muslims support these Kuffaar and give them aid and allow them land and airspace along with bases for the enemies of Allaah and His Messenger Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam to use in attacking the Muslims.
So in connection with this we call on all the Muslims to rise up to the assistance of their Mujaahideen brothers in Afghanistan with whatever means of support they are able to provide, be it with their lives, wealth, Du`aa or media. And we also advise our brothers in Afghanistan to have patience and remain steadfast and resist this aggression until death, and all of us have hope in Allaah that the lands of the Muslims become the graveyard of these crusaders like how it became the graveyard of those arrogant ones before them.
We also remind our brothers that are fighting in the path of Allaah of the state of the Muslims on the day of the battle of Al-Ahzaab when the powers of Kufr rushed madly against them and they allied to fight against Madeenah and to uproot the Muslims, but Allaah Subhaanahu Wa Ta`aalaa through His Power which cannot be overcome shook the earth with them and dispersed their ranks, and saved His Nabi (Sallallaahu `Alayhi Wa Sallam) and those with him.” – End quote of Shaykh Hamood Ibn `Uqlaa Ash-Shu`aybee Rahimahullaah.
Today history repeats itself, and the very same Kuffaar nations and those in their employment have returned to fight the Muslims anew, so it is obligatory upon all the Muslims today in general, and the Muslims living within the Islamic State in particular to assist their Islaamic State in Iraq and Shaam and everywhere as well with whatever they are able to assist with, be it with their lives, wealth or Du`aas, and they should defend the honour of their Mujaahideen brothers and support them, and discharge the obligation of aid and support. They should be happy at their achievements and victories, and saddened at their defeat – May Allaah prevent that from happening – they should raise the morale of the people and silence the mouths of the biased betrayers, because I take an oath by Allaah the One who there is no God besides Him, that definitely that is one of the most important principles of Eemaan, just like how the opposite of being happy at the defeat of the Muslims and being pleased that the Kuffaar should be victorious and take control of the land is clear apostasy removing a person from the Deen of Islaam.
O Muslim brethren, this Islaamic State has been built upon the bodies of your sons and brothers from the Mujaahideen, watered with the blood of your martyrs from the Ahlus Sunnah, and its price paid by thousands of male and female prisoners, so it flourished and grew until it became a lofty tower that enrages the enemies of Allaah, and until it became a refuge for the oppressed people from the Muhaajireen.
This young Islaamic State is not ours alone, rather it is yours as well, and we are not the only ones that are responsible for its protection, but you are tasked with it as well.
So if Allaah has preordained that this Khilaafah be destroyed, and for that sake that our bodies be ripped apart, then I take an oath by Allaah, I take an oath by Allaah that the Rawaafidh, crusaders and secularists will afflict you with a severe punishment, they will slaughter your sons and leave your women alive, they will plunder your wealth, destroy your Masaajid and burn your Qur’aans. May Allaah cause them to fail and chase them away.
In conclusion, we give the Muslim Ummah glad tidings that your Mujaahideen sons in the Islaamic State have made firm their resolve and taken the Bay`ah for death, and prepared themselves to face the most difficult of circumstances, and adjusted themselves for the darkest situations.
You will not hear the response, rather you will see it.
