The Factions of Deceit & Falsehood

[Translator Note: The following are translations of two official documents stating the official position of the Islamic State regarding the factions of deceit and falsehood – the apostate factions – fighting the Islamic State in the Suburbs of Northern Aleppo. This Shar’i verdict of apostasy on the factions fighting the Islamic State is a famous verdict upon all those who resists the application or implementation of an obligation from the Shari’ah with force, regardless of whether they agree regarding to its obligation or not. Verdict on Jabhat an-Nusra specifically

The Islamic State Number: 175
The Central Office for supervising the Shar’ee Diwans Date: 25/8/1437 H

In the Name of Allah the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate

All praise belongs to Allah, and May the Blessings and Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

After that..

Allah the Most High said: {And thus do We explain the Aayat in detail, that the way of the Mujrimun, may become manifest} [al-An’aam: 55]

Indeed al-Qaeda of Syria (Jabhat an-Nusra) and those who are with it in the camps of the factions that are fighting the Islamic State, they are groups that have resisted with power from Ruling by the rule of Allah and allied with Apostates that are hurrying to establish a Civil Democratic State of Kufr. They are fighting together in the same trench against an Islamic State which no one doubts rules by the Shari’ah. And they are inciting upon fighting it in every way, and they are rushing to uproot its authority from the Earth in order to change the Rule of Allah – by which its rules – with Jahili rule and man-made laws. And [they do] all that under the cover of the Crusader attack against the Islamic Khilafah. This nullifier along with others, have been committed by the groups that attribute themselves to Shari’ah & Jihad and remained in the camps of the Apostates that are fighting the army of the Khilafah. And they have not declared themselves free of them [the apostates] and they have not announced their disavowal from them [apostates] nor their disbelief. On the contrary they have participated in their alliances and sided with them. Darkness, one above another,

And indeed the Islamic State has made it clear with which doesn’t leave any room for any doubter regarding the Shar’ee verdict upon these groups – that they are apostate groups who have announced their disbelief and their situation has become clear by which the Proof (Huhja) establishes and the doubt of all those ignorant of it is cut off with. And from such [a clarification] is the circulation of the “Executive Commission” with the Number (21-7-N) on 8th of Rabee’u al-Awwal 1437. Therefore it would not never be tolerated to find – among our soldiers – anyone who stops short of making Takfeer on individuals among these whom we are fighting against and they are fighting against us regarding the Shari’ah of Allah. And whosoever who appears from them – i.e. from the Soldiers of the State – who doesn’t make Takfeer of these groups, his matter is to be raised to his authorized Amir so that he can be summoned and what is attributed to him is made certain of, and to explain to him the situation of these groups if he is ignorant of them, and if he stops short [of making Takfeer on them] after the explanation, his matter would be referred to court for Istitaabah.

The Verdict on the Factions that are fighting the State

The Islamic State Number: 21-7-N
The Executive Commission Date: 8/3/1437 H

In the Name of Allah the Most Merciful the Most Compassionate

To: All of the Wilayat and Offices and Committees.

Topic: The Verdict on the Factions that are fighting the State

Indeed all praise belongs to Allah alone, and May the blessings and peace be upon whom there is no prophet after him.

As for what follows:

May Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

Recently we have received some inquiries regarding the official stance of the Islamic State regarding the allied factions that we are fighting in the Suburbs of Northern Aleppo and others besides it, especially the factions that raise Islamic banners and slogans and attribute themselves to Jihad.

And we state to everyone that the stance of the Islamic State is clear regarding the verdict of these factions. And it is that these are groups that have apostataed from the religion of Allah and that they have committed various things that nullify the Aslu Deen [basis/origin/fundamental of the religion]. And from that is: fighting a state that rules by the Shari’ah of Allah while being in the same trench and same alliance as the factions that have refrained from ruling by the Shari’ah, and announced that they are rushing to build a “Pluralistic Civil Democratic” State which would up-root the Rule of Allah from the lands of the Islamic State and change it with Jahili laws. And all of that under the direct observation and cover of the Crusader Assault which is led by America for the purpose of destroying the project of the Khilafah. Allah the most High says:

{ And it has already been revealed to you in the Book (this Quran) that when you hear the Verses of Allah being denied and mocked at, then sit not with them, until they engage in a talk other than that; (but if you stayed with them) certainly in that case you would be like them. Surely, Allah will collect the hypocrites and disbelievers all together in Hell} [an-Nisa : 140]

And this is the verdict of Allah regarding those who sat with the disbelievers and didn’t leave them or reject upon them their disbelief and their mockery at the Aayat of Allah. Then what about those who fight with them, and ally them, and help them against the Muslims who rule the land of Allah with what he has revealed? So this is a clear verdict which we do not doubt therein.  And it is based upon clearly seen realities which are not affected by false Ta’weels and claims that belie the reality.

We ask Allah to repel the plans of the disbelievers and to disperse their strength and to split their gathering and give victory to the Islamic State over them.

And may Allah reward you all with the best.

The Journey of The Sahwat – Part 2

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The date is December the 25th, 2014, 5 groups merge & create a new group called “al-Jabhat al Shamiya” / The Sham/Levant Front.

The groups that are participating are: Army of ‘Mujahedin’, ‘Islamic’ Front (See Part one), Fastaqim Kama Umirt,  Authenticity and Development Front & Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki.

Lets rewind the date to 2014-01-03 the day before the Sahwa “Awakening”

Army of ‘Mujahedin’ releases a statement waging war on Dawlah, groups that is included are some FSA groups & future Levant Front groups, Zinki Movement & Fastaqim Kama Umirt

As i mentioned in part one, ‘Islamic’ Front was also part of the ‘Awakening’ war, that counts up to four groups of the Levant Front that participated in the Sahwa war.

Harakat Nour al-Din al-Zenki

The strongest group in Aleppo because of the weapon supplies they receive from USA. They are not shy to put their TOWs on show.

Zinki movement said in late 2014 that they are working with the coalition for the benefit of the syrian people.

The leader of Zinki says the goal of this coalition (USA, UK, Qatar, UEA, KSA, Jordan, Turkey & 50 other kufr countries) is to bring down Assad & the state of Baghdadi.

Authenticity and Development Front

This group is extremely loyal to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (who was part of the US coalition long before their war on Dawlah, the drone that killed Anwar al Awlaki RH lifted from KSA, they have been part of the war against Sh Usama RH aswell)

When King Kong of Saudi died, ADF released a statement mourning him, may Allah raise them with him & make their destination the same as the murtadd king.

Levant Front

The date is 5th April 2015, do you know what day that is? It is the day of Easter, the day where the mushrikeen celebrates the “resurrection” of Jesus (AS) a day they remind themselves of the power of “the son of God” (I seek refuge in Allah).

Any believer would disassociate himself from those who celebrate a day like that, especially when that day is present.

Instead Levant Front knocks the door of the christians with gifts, eggs, which is a symbol of the “empty tomb of Jesus (AS)”. Levant front addresses the christians as brothers and congratulates & ARE HAPPY FOR THEM on this shirk day, they day the christians reminds themselves of something Allah SWT said in the noble Quran:

And they say, “The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son.”  You have done an atrocious thing. The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation. That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son. And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. {19:88-92}

US-backed Hazm-movement, after dissolving joined Levant Front.

Geneva I & II

The principles of Geneva I & II:

● End the violence
● Work on a political solution & negotiation between Rebels & the Regime
● The issuance of a constitutional declaration & form a fully fledged government
● Have parliament & presidential elections with the supervision of United Nations
● Advocate the principles in the international Geneva I conference
● Undergo relief work immediately
● Returning to normal life for all refugees & displaced individuals
● The commitment to the unity of Syria, unity of land, people & equality between all Syrians
● Establish a political regime that respects human rights & their freedom (the freedom to apostate from your religion freely)

Levant Front says that the rebels (and themselves) have agreed upon Geneva I & II decisions

PS. They also thank the coalition which they address as “friends”, Saudia, Qatar, Turkey & all other countries.

YPG & Levant Front

The 5th of February 2015, Levant Front agreed to make an alliance with the YPG.

The three points in the statement:

1. Unifying the executive authorities of both parties to include all courts & to rule with the Sharia of Allah

2. Open an office in dawah- and sharia- purpose for both parties and follow up on the issues of mosques, including the Friday prayer in Aleppo, & Arifin & its surrounding villages

3. Pursuing the corrupters (Dawlah & the Regime)  wherever they are & making them face trial in order to give back the rights to their people. And to ensure that there is safety and security in the liberated areas that these that have signed this agreement have been part of

Fun fact: YPG are atheists.

Turkey declares war on Dawlah

Just like their sahwat brothers from the ‘Islamic’ Front, the Levant Front hurried to show their full support not only to the secular attaturks, but to the other coalition countries aswell, on their war against Dawlah.

Now what the sahwat & their ‘ulema’ wants you to believe, who only the blind followers & the simple minded ignorant fools would believe, is that they are only SEEKING AID from Turkey against the bughat (transgressors/oppressors), only a very small percentage of the ulema has allowed this, but those who allowed it put forth conditions:

1. You need to have the upper-hand over the kuffar you are SEEKING AID from, military.

2. The goal needs to be Sharia.

3. They can’t have their own flag/raise their flag.

The sahwat does not meet ANY of the conditions. Because firstly they do not have the military upper-hand over Turkey & secondly they do not seek to implement Sharia because the area liberated from Dawlah is to be made into a “safe zone”, a plan put forth by USA, and thirdly Turkey raise & have their own secular/nationalistic flag.

More importantly, this is NOT an issue of SEEKING AID

This is from Ahrars official statements viewing this as an alliance & not seeking help. They see Turkey as the most important ally of the Syrian revolution.

If it was, then Turkey would have declared war on Dawlah on behalf of the sahwat like sahwat claim it to be. To seek aid, the second party has to accept your request to aid you.

Turkey waged war on Dawlah ONLY BECAUSE USA ORDERED IT, and Turkey only obeyed because they say “La ilaha illa Amrika” & surrendered to their will & plans to drive out Dawlah, for the moment, only in north of Syria & later in time, from the face of the earth, we seek refuge in Allah from that to happen & may Allah protect the Islamic State & give them victory over the enemies of Allah.

So however you look at it, the sahwat IS THE ONE HELPING the kuffar of Attaturks over MUSLIMS & NOT SEEKING AID FROM THEM.

And it is IJMA’ (consensus) of the sahaba & ALL the ulema that the one who aids a kufr nation over Muslims, whether the muslims are khawarij, bughat or ghulat, then he is a kafir, murtadd.

Ibn Hazm (ر) said after quoting this ayah (5:51),

“If you give them a cup of water you are a kafir.”

Ibn Taymiyyah (ر) said:

“Anybody who supports the kuffar on their kufr or against Muslims, they are kafir.”

And lets not forget to quote the leader of the mujahedeen of this era, sheikh Usama bin Laden (ر):

“If you support the kuffar only with a word then you have committed riddah(appostasy).”

The Issue of Jabhat al Nusra In This Soup

It’s these filthy sahwat that Maqdisi & Abu Qatada along with 7 other “ulema” issued a fatwa that everyone is obliged to protect & call them “mujahideen” after Dawlah made a huge offensive on them in Sawran north of Aleppo.

Dawlah burns the flag of Levant Front in Sawran BEFORE the misguided ulema issue a fatwa to attack them & defend the “mujahideen brothers” of Levant Front

Dawlah sent an istishhadi, may Allah accept him, to a headquarter of the Levant Front, everyone was surprised except Dawlah, that a Nusra commander was among the cassualties, may Allah judge him accordingly.

Levant Front confirms that Nusra Front surrenders ALL their fronts in north Syria to them, so that they can aid Turkey in their war against Dawlah for their own benefits. Remember what Ibn Hazm (ر) said about a cup of water, well here we have Nusra Front handing over whole headquarters to aid their kufr.

Dawlah made an offensive & took over Talalain from Levant Front. Now Nusra Front said they retreated from all the fronts claiming it is impermissible to participate in this war & they called the rebels aiding Turkey “the ground troops of the Coalition”, attacked Dawlah after they took over Talalain.

They lied, surprised? No.

Even if Nusra Fronts officially said it is impermissible, one of Nusra Fronts main shar3i, Abo Hassan al Kuwaiti said it is permissible

I will finish this with a reminder that Turkey’s war on Dawlah is USA’s war on Dawlah & anyone who supports them in any shape or form is a kafir.

And that Turkey & Erdogan is a kufr nation.

Words from their own leaders –

The Journey Of The Sahwat – Part 1

By Our brother : Mustafa Al Irāqi

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The date is November the 22nd, 2013, 6 groups merge & creates a new group called “al-Jabhat al-Islāmiyyah” / The ‘Islamic’ Front.

The groups that is participating is: Ansar al Sham, Liwa ‘Haqq’, Ahrar Sham, Liwa ‘Tawhid’, Suqour ash Sham, Jaish al ‘Islam’

Al-Qaida’s response to this newly formed group:

Dhawahiri sent a letter to Jowlani &
ordered him & the whole Jabhat Al Nusra to join The ‘Islamic’ Front.

Abū Samīr al-Urdunī former member of Jowlanis shura council said that Jowlani disobeyed because of Zahran Alloush & his Army of ‘Islam’ & would only join if they leave.

Sh Suleiman al Alwan (may Allah hasten his release) who was a fan of Ahrar ash Sham, as all was before the ‘sahwa’, warned Ahrar ash Sham leader not to join/be a part of this new formed group & threatened he would record a statement against them if they did.

And his reason was: Zahran Alloush.(watch “Ahrar al-Sham Betrayed Sh. Sulayman al-Alwan Twice”)

Ahrar did join The ‘Islamic’ Front regardless of Alwans threats & his statements never got recorded, why? Because he was imprisoned by KSA(Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia). Now why would KSA do that? Because when The ‘Islamic’ Front was created, 70 – KSA – “shuyukh” & “tulab al ilm” backed this group & called for everyone to join it, & what good is there in ‘ulama’ from KSA favoring a group except that the crusaders will follow? KSA knows Alwan is a very influential man on jihadist youths & he threatened this plan of sahwat, he also refused to take back his takfir on Āal salūl, that’s why they imprisoned him. (List of those Shuyukh). Back then this was not a problem, because the enemy was still the regime, so everyone hid this under the table.

2014-01-04 the date ALL sahwat supporters have deleted from their calendars & minds

The fourth of January The ‘Islamic’ Front back-stabbed Dawlah in Halab/Aleppo.

They also attacked Dawlah in Raqqah the same day. Only in the first week 500-1000 from Dawlah got shahada including Abu Usama al Maghribi (رحمهم الله).

February: Jabhat Al Nusra joins the ‘Islamic’ Front & fights & drives Dawlah out of Deir ez Zour.

After these events the lies that Dawlah refused Allah’s judgment started to spread like virus. The Sahwat had conditions & Dawlah had conditions:

⭕ Sahwats condition was that Dawlah leaves Syria & goes back to Iraq

⭕ Dawlahs condition was that the court they would be judged in should openly make baraa & do takfir on tawaghit, you would think: that’s not so demanding right? But it is, for them it is because today it is clear that the sahwat do not make kufr bi taghut.

⭕ Dawlah also called the sahwat to a joint court, like how Ali (ر) & Muawiya (ر) settled their dispute.

(See more in:

Now the condition put by Sahwat was not allowed in Shariah, because it’s not allowed to leave a single inch of land where Shariah is being ruled with so that it would be changed by Sahwat/FSA. And since that day & even before that day, until today the Sahwat & their allies are yet to implement the Shariah.

Hassan Abboud, The former amir of Ahrar Al-Shaam came out on Al-Jazeera, The Sahwat & their allies’ favorite news channel, & said that they were the first one to fight Dawlah & follow them in all of the provinces.

Translation from Ahrar fighter: “I am from Ahrar al Sham & we are the one who first began the fighting, i swear by Allah & i am ready for a mubahala.
CNN: FSA were the ones that started the fight against “daesh”

Some kufr statements from sahwat front

Abu Eesa, a leader of The ‘Islamic’ Front & the leader of Suqor ash Sham says they bless any state, even if it was a secular or democratic state.

Zahran Alloush says if the regime falls, they will let the people of Syria choose the state they want, he further says that they do not want to impose power on minorities which can be interpreted in many ways.

Abdelaziz Salameh, leader of Liwa ‘Tawhid’ part of The ‘Islamic’ Front asks USA for weapons against Dawlah like they supported the apostates kurds in Iraq against Dawlah

Now fast forward to May, 2015

From left to right: • Abu Jaber: Leader of Ahrar sham, • Zahran Alloush: Leader of Jaish al ‘Islam’, • Abu Eesa: Leader of Suqour ash Sham.

Sahwat in costumes visit Turkey, the purpose of their visit was exposed in July/August.

The 23rd of July, 2015

Turkey decides to participate in the war against Dawlah, & Turkey is NATO & NATO is USA & USA is Iblees (لعنة الله علیه).

“So you see those in whose hearts is disease hastening into [association with] them, saying, “We are afraid a misfortune may strike us.” [5:52]

The first one (surprise surprise) to make a statement to the secular Turks & support them & aid them over Dawlah was Army of ‘Islam’, Zahran Alloush

The second ones to make a statement to Turkey that they will support & aid against Dawlah are Ahrar ash Sham

Praise Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) for guiding you not to follow the ‘ulema’ blindly & take them as Lords beside Allah (سبحانه و تعالى). Praise Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) for guiding you not to be fooled by their positions & reputations.

The so called ‘Majlis shura ahl al ilm fi sham’ has made Halal what Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has made KUFR.

O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you – then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. [5:51]

[A Map showing the situation in Sham 2015]

I will let the images of the maps speak for themselves:

This was sahwats punishment Only By Allying With The FSA (Free Syrian Army) against the mujahidin, now imagine what Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) will DO TO THEM for Allying With Turkey/NATO/USA?

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) gave victory to His soldiers who implements His shariah on every land they get a hold on, wherever they go, shariah, honor, dignity & victory for the believers will follow.

Subhan Allah, imagine how the map would look in 2017.

The fighting has just began.

The Islamic Facade

by Al Ghareeb

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

“The West has understood the game. They won’t send anyone whose name is William or Benjamin. They’ll send people named Ahmed and Mohammed and Abdullah. The American soldier is expensive, so they will use people from among us — and this is the truth of the battle, they will use you — in the fight against us” – Abu Ayman al-Iraqi

It was the beginning of spring in 2014. A commander in the Syrian Revolutionary Front named Mohamed Zaatar decided to call his enemy from his living room couch in the Turkish city of Antakya. A former antique smuggler, Zaatar had taken up arms when the Syrian uprising began, and now commanded a militia notorious for looting, kidnapping, extortion, highway robbery and indiscriminate shelling of liberated areas. The enemy he phoned did not belong to the Syrian regime. It was Abu Ayman al-Iraqi, a veteran commander in the Islamic State which by then still was the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. “We are fighting a war against terror,” Zataar proudly told the reporter from Buzzfeed who would transcribe the conversation between the two.

“Remember my words, they [the West] will use you, and they will unite you with Bashar’s army, and with an interim government, and they will promise you seats in parliament, and such things — the same as they did with the Sunnis in Iraq. The West will sell you cheap. They sold your grandfathers and our grandfathers. And for hundreds of years the West has been controlling us, and they keep these tyrants over our heads. As if it were us who committed the al-Houla massacre, or did the chemical weapons attack, or raped the women in Bashar’s prisons. You forgot about Bashar, and now you came to fight us in earnest, and in the end, you and the [Alawites] will hug each other. You serve this project without knowing. Your army and Bashar’s army will unify to ‘counter terrorism’ — which is us,” Abu Ayman told Zaatar.[1]

The Syrian uprising that later turned in to an armed conflict between forces loyal to the Assad-family regime and those seeking to oust it, as most other matters in international affairs, divided the international community into two camps. While the Assad family have been able rely on Iran, her allies and Shiite militias for support, the opposition on their part has to rely on the group so eloquently described as “the friends of Syria”. This includes the U.S., the U.K., France, the KSA, Qatar and Turkey.[2] However, four years into this conflict, any observer would say: with friends like these, who needs enemies? Puppets, proxies or allies of the U.S., these friends may have a stated policy of regime change, but the resources devoted to the cause would suggest something different.[3]

                   [The Friends of Syria]

Without the context it is nearly impossible to understand anything, much less, international relations. If viewed as a single revolution turned uprising, in a vacuum, independent of other factors besides tyranny and a fight for democracy, for what is mistakenly referred to as freedom, the Syrian struggle might appear in one light. But if viewed as something with deeper roots, longer history, the struggle is no longer between the farmers and dentists on one side and the Assad regime on the other. It is no longer between the Zionists and the Majoos, between the West and the East. The struggle is instead between Iman and Kufr. The struggle dates back to the days of the Prophet (ﷺ), and it was not a fight for freedom as it is understood in western terms. It was to raise the word of Allah ﷻ and it still is.

Shaykh Abu Mus’ab az-Zarqawi (رحمة الله عليه) said, “We do not perform jihad here for a fistful of dirt or an illusory border drawn up by Sykes and Picot. Similarly, we do not perform jihad for a Western taghut to take the place of an Arab taghut. Rather our jihad is loftier and more superior. We perform jihad so that Allah’s word becomes supreme and that the religion becomes completely for Allah. {And fight them until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah} [Al-Anfāl: 39]. Everyone who opposes this goal or stands in the path of this goal is an enemy for us and a target for our swords, whatever his name may be and whatever his lineage may be. We have a religion that Allah revealed to be a scale and a judge. Its statement is decisive and its judgment is not amusement. It is the kinship between us and the people, for our scales – by Allah’s grace – are divine, our laws are Quranic, and our judgments are upon the prophetic tradition. The American Muslim is our beloved brother. And the kafir Arab is our despised enemy even if we and he were to have shared the same womb.“[4]

After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, our land was carved into pieces and we were given new identities, a new ruler and a new constitution. The consequence of which was of course the removal of Shariah, the rule of Allah ﷻ. The piece of land they named Syria can thus be ruled by anyone but a Muslim. The constitution could be anything but upon the rule of Allah ﷻ. A negotiated settlement between two non-Muslim proxies, an American and a Safawi, is even better. Why not let them fight each other on Muslim land, massacring Muslims in the process? After the war, we could have a mock trial in The Hague and pretend like nothing ever happened. Why live in the past? Move on. Did you see a KFC opened around the corner? Here, have a Pepsi.

Having withstood a 40-year ideological war waged by the Alawites, Islam however played a big role in the Syrian uprising from an early stage. Even the criminals that would come to hide their activities behind the banner of the Syrian revolution would at least pretend to want a future Syria with “some component of Shariah”. So we would have to audition rebels with Islamic banners but pragmatic mindsets in search for new proxies.

For this reason “the friends of Syria” empowered those advocating “jihad only in Syria” against “global jihadists”. In doing so, the Islamic Front (IF) could market itself in the region as a group willing to take up the battle against “extremism”, thus becoming acceptable in the political process. Whether formed for this purpose or not, the IF appears to at least have understood the dynamics very well, allowing the overtly secular elements disproportionate influence and attention. The merger of the seven brigades that led to the formation of the IF, announced on 22 November 2013, included groups from across the Islamist spectrum, from those who had called for a moderate state with a foundation of Islamic law, to those who called for a state built upon Shariah, yet it was their kosher rhetoric that somehow triumphed.[5]

In addition, while the Islamic State (then the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant) and Jabhat an-Nusrah (then still Jabhat an-Nusrah but without the three villages in Idlib) continued to seize territory, it appears that the military chief of the Islamic Front, Zahran Alloush, earned his MBA-degree. Having turned mergers into a fine art, Zahran has also been rumored to sell both weapons and territory to the Assad regime.[6] Moreover, he appears to have understood the importance of public relations as well. When he didn’t read speeches out of his Hello Kitty notebook, he appeared in more than one “unintentional” photo-shoot on the frontlines.[7][8] A Murji palace scholar for the Saudi government as a father is the icing on the cake.[9]

[Zahran Alloush riding his motorcycle in Qalamoun, looking very important]

So, what would a future state in which the IF had a say in look like? At its most extreme, it appears to follow the model of the Muslim Brotherhood, combining democracy and foreign relations with Islamism, as indicated by secret documents seized by the Islamic State during a raid on Ahrar ash-Sham’s headquarters in Raqqah. Note, Ahrar ash-Sham is the constituent group within the IF with most Islamic tendencies. The documents, which were deemed top secret general guidelines for the organization, stated that a political committee was responsible for maintaining political relations both domestically and internationally. It also stated the need for ambassadors abroad to study their public image and perhaps most importantly – the need for political and financial support from foreign governments and organizations.[10]

Of course such financial support comes at a cost and there is much to indicate that the rebels’ war on the Islamic State was in fact pre-planned and that the U.S. and the KSA had involved the Islamic Front in this plan. The war on the Islamic state also empowered the pragmatic elements within the IF with other factions appearing to have been marginalized or defected. In addition, the loss suffered by the founding brigades forced the front to relax some of the strict conditions required from prospective member brigades. The joining of the Northern Storm Brigade for instance would have changed the composition of the IF and even altered the center of the Islamist-spectrum.[11]

On May 17th, a “Revolutionary Covenant”, signed by the IF and Jaish al-Mujahideen amongst others, was released.[12] The same Jaish al-Mujahideen that months earlier stated that they believed in Shariah that did not enforce the Hijab.[13]

            [The revolutionary covenant]

The covenant was allegedly aimed at “unifying the efforts and joining forces within a common framework that serves the interests of the Syrian people” with signatories confirming their commitment to the detailed pledges. The group pledged that the revolutionary work would be “derived from our authentic religion, staying away from fundamentalism and radicalism.” In a plea to build foreign relations, the covenant emphasized fair trials in the future with no acts of retaliation. “The Syrian revolution is a revolution based on morals and values with the objective of achieving freedom, justice and security to the entire Syrian society with its diverse multi-ethnical and multi-sectarian social fabric,” they claimed. Furthermore, the groups pledged to fight the Syrian regime, its allies, and “all those who carry out aggression against our people and excommunicate them (apostasy), such as the Islamic State.” The perhaps most important part of the statement was however the segment reassuring foreign countries that all “military actions would be limited to Syrian territories.”[14]

But the Islamic Front is the gift that keeps on giving. So when disbelievers celebrated Christmas day, on 25th December 2014, a new coalition, the Levant Front was announced in Aleppo. It consisted of the Islamic Front, Jaish al-Mujahideen, the Nur ad-Din Zinki-Movement, the Fastaqim Kama Umirt movement, the Authenticity and Development Front, and the Hazm Movement.[15] In case you haven’t followed the Syrian conflict, this list reads like the who’s who of western proxies. The Hazm movement was an offshoot of the Syrian Revolutionary Front and has since been disbanded with the majority of its former fighters joining other groups within the Levant Front.[16] The Nur ad-Din Zinki Movement, as the Fastaqim Kama Umirt movement, is a former Jaish al-Mujahideen outfit, led by Tawfiq Shahabuddin, the first rebel leader to officially support the coalition against the Islamic State, even going so far as to ask the coalition for arms to fight the Islamic State alongside them.[17][18]

And the fun does not stop there. Who’s leading this fine group of people? Abdelaziz Salamah, a man that in an Al-Jazeera report asked the West for “weapons to fight the Islamic State just as they help the Peshmerga and the YPG militia.”[19] He is also a leader within the Islamic Front, commanding Liwa at-Tawheed in Aleppo.[20] The same Liwa at-Tawheed which, during the January 2014 blitz on the Islamic State, raped wives and daughters of Islamic State fighters.[21] The same Liwa at-Tawheed that killed an Islamic State leader wanted by the US, flaunted his killing in a public statement hours before calling for a truce and then kept his wife in captivity for 8 months before handing her over to the Islamic State as part of the Turkey-Islamic State prisoner swap in September last year.[22] The same Liwa at-Tawheed which is part of the Euphrates Volcano operation room together with the YPG militia and several FSA factions which in September 2014 declared intentions to cleanse Northern Syria of the Islamic State in a bid for coalition support.[23] Yes, that same banner of monotheism.

In addition, most of these factions are members of the nationalist Syrian Revolutionary Command Council. All these factions receive supposedly “unconditional” aid from either the Gulf regimes, the CIA, the Syrian National Coalition, or the Free Syrian Army (FSA) Supreme Military Council while “not belonging” to any of them. In February 2015, the new front agreed with the Kurdish Autonomous Democratic Administration and the People’s Protection Units (YPG) – the armed branch of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), which is the Syrian branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) – to implement the Shariah in ‘Afrin![24] Lovely, isn’t it? A pick and mix buffet or better yet, a potluck, as a consitution. I’ll bring Shariah, you can bring democracy, the Marxist Kurds can bring communism.

In a conference held by “the Revolutionary Forces of Aleppo” in Turkey on 1st March 2015, the head of the political and media department of the Levant Front, Zakariya Malahifji, went even further:

“The Levant Front is a faction that represents Syria and the Syrian people. It considers Syria to be for all the Syrians. Liberating the Syrian nation and the Syrian people from the Iranian occupation and toppling Asad’s regime are our main goals to end oppression and establish the nation of freedom. … We consider the Syrian national identity to be the identity of all the components of the Syrian people: Arabs, Kurds, Turkmen, Circassians, Assyrians, and Syriac peoples, as well as all the other religious components. … Syria as it exists now with its internationally recognized geographic borders is a nation for all the Syrian people. The front refuses the division or formation of Syria according to any factional, political, or partisan agenda or ambition. … The Levant Front presents thanks to the brothers and friends of the Syrian people, foremost of which are Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, as well as all the other countries. It also asks them to take a resolute stance to save the Syrian people from the Iranian occupation, the Iranian gangs, and the crimes of the regime.”[25]

A little more than a year after the phone call between Abu Ayman Al-Iraqi and Mohammed Zaatar, the Syrian Revolutionary Front is now merely a shadow of its former self, having discovered the magnitude of the leap from a gang to a militia.[26] However the proxy war in Syria is still very much alive.

While the Levant Front quietly dissolved as a unified military entity on April 14, the constituent groups agreed to maintain cooperation as independent actors. The move is believed to signal a wider renegotiation of rebel coordination in Aleppo province with the possible support and encouragement of regional actors such as Turkey. In fact, the dissolution occurred amidst ongoing negotiations between Turkey and Saudi Arabia, mediated by Qatar to conduct joint military action to oust the Assad regime. At the same time, Zahran Alloush was reportedly in Turkey along with other unidentified Syrian rebel leaders to engage in a series of meetings that may be related to this ongoing exploration of options for military intervention in Syria. The U.S. would of course be engaged quietly in these negotiations as well.[27]

Allah ﷻ says in the Quran:

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ الطَّاغُوتِ فَقَاتِلُوا أَوْلِيَاءَ الشَّيْطَانِ ۖ إِنَّ كَيْدَ الشَّيْطَانِ كَانَ ضَعِيفًا

“Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah , and those who disbelieve fight in the cause of Taghut. So fight against the allies of Satan. Indeed, the plot of Satan has ever been weak.”[28]

Before ending the conversation with his foe, Abu Ayman added a few words that offer insight into the future of the so called rebel infighting quite well. Since Zataar and his colleagues took their orders from the U.S. and its allies, Abu Ayman reasoned, “You will kill us and we will kill you. We have no other options — either you cleanse us or we cleanse you, because the decision is not yours.”[29]

Shari’ proof of the apostasy of the Islamic Front

This video presents Shariah proof of the apostasy of the Islamic Front. It shows a history of intent to work with the Kuffar against the Muslims, as well as compromising on the issue of Shariah by leaving the issue to a free democratic vote and making the issue of Shariah just one of the options the people of Syria would get to vote on.

Indeed, it was Sheikh Sulayman Al-Alwan (HA) who warned the truthful from amongst the Syrian rebel groups about joining the Islamic Front due to it’s links with various Taghout intelligence agencies:

So let us examine the path that the “Islamic” Front took after Sheikh Alwan (HA) warned people about them:

Please remember that the Islamic Front has essentially rebranded itself and most of it’s constitutent groups have now become part of the Shamiya Front (Jabhat Shamiya).

And God is Great.

And might belongs to Allah and His Messenger and the believers, but the hypocrites know not.

We ask God to guide us and make us stand firm.

Who are Jaysh al-Muhajireen wa al-Ansar [JMWA] ?

One of the emblems used by JMWA:

JMWA was originally under the leadership of Omar ash-Shishani, who is a veteran of the Georgian army. In May 2013, Omar was appointed northern amir of The Islamic State by Sheikh Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, encompassing Aleppo, Raqqa, northern Idlib and Latakia governorates. Following this appointment, JMWA came to be a mere front-group for The Islamic State, with Omar ash-Shishani identified as “leader of the northern region for the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham” in multiple jihadi postings, such as this news release by Kavkaz center dated August 2013 .

It might be asked what gain there is to have a front-group operating under a different name. The answer is that it can create the impression of a larger unified ideological front than what actually exists. One should compare with the Iranian proxy militias who operate under multiple banners but are normally just mirror fronts of one another. The approach can be very effective as an agitprop strategy: note for instance how the New York Times reported on the fall of Mannagh as though JMWA was a separate faction from The Islamic State.

There are multiple strands of evidence for JMWA as a front-group for The Islamic State during Shishani’s leadership. On jihadi forums and among other fighting groups, JMWA is identified as synonymous with ISIS during the time of Shishani’s leadership, as illustrated below.

JMWA-released graphic identifying the group as synonymous with ISIS and showing Qur’an memorization study circles in the Idlib village of Salwa:

Abdullah ash-Shishani: JMWA/ISIS shahid(martyr),killed during the mujahideen offensive on Allawiyah areas of Latakia in the summer of 2013:

As from the testimony of other groups, we have a video put out by Liwa al-Fatah from the capture of Mannagh airbase in Aleppo governorate at the beginning of August 2013, in which JMWA/ISIS played the leading role in bringing about the regime stronghold’s final fall. In this video, the Liwa al-Fatah speaker identifies one Abu Jandal al-Masri (an Egyptian fighter) as a member of JMWA, equated with ISIS. Abu Jandal was the leading JMWA/ISIS operative behind the capture of Mannagh airbase. Abu Jandal vows that the mujahideen will not leave a single Alawite alive in Syria.

Liwa al-Fatah video in which JMWA and ISIS are identified as synonymous. The JWMA logo is included to emphasize friendship between the JMWA and Liwa al-Fatah:

However, a split subsequently emerged towards the end of November 2013, whereby those wishing to remain loyal to Omar ash-Shishani declared sole affiliation with ISIS, while those wishing to retain the JMWA label appointed a new commander: Salah ad-Din ash-Shishani. Below is a copy of the official JMWA statement detailing the split with The Islamic State:

Bellow is the translation of the above statement:

“All Thanks be to Allah and peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah his family and his companions.

As to What follows:

Those who believe fight in the way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Taghut(false diety). Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan; surely the plots of the Shaitan is weak.(Al Quran 4:76)

JMWA was among the first of the armies fighting in Bilad ash-Sham…and Omar ash-Shishani- may Allah protect him- was the previous commander for this army; and he has now pledged allegiance with half of the army to the Islamic State of Iraq and ash-Sham, so the Majlis Shura of JMWA held a meeting and decided on the appointment of Salah ad-Din ash-Shishani as the commander for this army. We ask Allah- Almighty is He- for success and fortune for all who fight so that Allah’s word may be supreme.”

it would also be immediately noted that this declaration of independence was reflected in the social media circles, as JMWA pages no longer attach their own label to actions carried out by The Islamic State. Indeed, an “official” Facebook page for JMWA was featuring with a JMWA label images of ISIS’ execution of Hasan Jazra and other members of Ghuraba ash-Sham in the Aleppo town of Atarib, only for that page to be deleted overnight after the announcement of JMWA’s new independence and for all subsequent images of ISIS activity put out with no JMWA label on a new Facebook page.

Photo from Atarib showing corpses of Ghuraba ash-Sham dogs executed by The Islamic State. Note the JMWA label, which is no longer being used by JMWA media output in documenting ISIS activities:

Thus, while JMWA and The Islamic State continue to share a similar ideology, a personal split has led to JMWA’s separation from The Islamic State. Omar ash-Shishani and the previous Shari’a judge for JMWA who joined Omar in declaring sole affiliation with The Islamic State also released a statement of their own indicating that those of the Caucasian and Ukrainian mujahideen who did not pledge allegiance (bay’ah) to The Islamic State refused because of their prior connection through bay’ah to Sheikh Abu Othman Duka(May Allah have mercy on him), the former Caucasus Emirate amir, together with a detachment of Arab fighters from “Jamaat al-Takhfeekh.” However, it should be noted that Omar ash-Shishani also had support from the Caucasus Emirate amir for the bay’ah to Sheikh Baghdadi in an interview with a Russian mujahideen site.

Statement from Omar ash-Shishani and the former Shari’a judge of JMWA clarifying reasons for the split within the organization:

Who are the green Battalion(Al Katibah Al Khadhraa’)?

The current Logo of the group:

The Former Logo of the group:

This is a battalion that first emerged in August 2013, the group has got the same aqidah of al wala’ wal baraa(love and disavowal for Allah’s sake), They make takfeer on those that rule by the laws that Allah has not revealed, they believe that the Jihad should carry on untill all the religion belongs to Allah. They are a typical Mujahideen group it shares an ideological affinity with The Islamic State but is in fact independent: something the battalion wished to emphasize in changing its emblem in mid-September 2013. Led by Saudi muhajireen but also having a native Syrian component.

However, the Green Battalion has conducted joint operations with both The Islamic State and Jabhatu Nusrah in the Qalamoun area of Damascus province and- as part of a wider front including prominent factions like Jaysh al-Islam(note: this group is nolonger Islamic) – in the offensive on regime-held zones of the desert areas of Homs governorate (e.g. the localities of Sakhna and Muhin in Wilayat al-Badiya – the desert province ), where the Green Battalion claimed to have seized a number of different types of weapons from regime forces. They also had a  joint operation with The Islamic State that captured the Qalamoun town of Deir Attiyeh (subsequently renamed Dar Ata’ by The Islamic State in light of the former name’s Christian connotations) from regime forces, only to see the locality reclaimed by the Syrian army in coordination with Shi’a militias.

Armaments seized in mid-November 2013 by the Green Battalion in Muhin, Homs governorate:

Mohammed al-Harbi- Abu Eid: a Green Battalion commander who was killed during the group’s offensive in early August on the weapons depots of Dahna in Qalamoun:

Ahmad al-Jahani- Abu Badr al-Muwahhid- a Saudi martyr for the Green Battalion killed in late August in fighting in the Qalamoun area:

Abdullah al-Mahoos- Abu Khattab al-Najadi- a Saudi martyr for the Green Battalion killed in late September in fighting in the Qalamoun area:

Ahmad al-Bariki, a Khaleeji(from the Gulf) martyr and military official for the Green Battalion who died in the local hospital in Deir Attiyeh in late November 2013:

Abd al-Hakeem al-Hadiri- “Hamza al-Najadi”- a Saudi martyr also killed in Deir Attiyeh:

Abdullah al-Fantukh- Abu Ja’far al-Najadi- a Saudi martyr killed in Deir Attiyeh:
